The ChemDefend® 310 series of suits is constructed from a unique non-woven composite designed to provide high barrier properties against penetration of inorganic chemicals and contamination agents. The material offers high levels of comfort, strength and durability. A polyethylene barrier layer is combined with a meltblown polypropylene coating, and bonded to a structural spunbonded polypropylene base layer. This construction provides an excellent barrier against pressurised fluids. The ChemDefend® 310 overall offering is constructed to provide optimum fit with ample use of material at the forearms, chest and waist for comfortable, unrestricted movement. The suit incorporates a number of key design features for maximum protection, comfort and strength and to facilitate easy donning and doffing. These include a wide protective zip flap with an integrated chin flap. The suit is based on taped seam technology, with the seams providing the same chemical barrier as the rest of the suit. In addition, all elastics in the coverall are fully bound and enclosed for comfort and to reduce thread loss or possible contamination from the coverall in a manufacturing process.
